LAKE TROUT, SMALLMOUTH BASS, MUSKIE & NORTHERN PIKE All abide in Crow in good numbers and there are excellent opportunities for trophies in each category. The spring muskie opener (third Saturday in June) is a truly exciting time to fish Crow as these magnificent fish are cruising the shallow, clearwater bays and you can often see a dozen or more fish in the 36 inch to 50 inch class in a day. WALLEYE, CRAPPIE For those who want to fish the waters of Lake of the Woods, our private Stevens Bay Landing is situated a 2 mile drive from your cabin door, or the government dock on Sabaskong Bay is a 5 mile drive. For those who want to truly get away for the day, try a one-day fly-in trip. You pick the species and you are flown away in the morning and home again in time for dinner.
PORTAGE LAKES: Short portages off of Crow offer some excellent fishing opportunities for NORTHERN PIKE and LARGEMOUTH BASS. Many of these small lakes offer prime topwater fishing for both species. Boats are set up so all you need to do is walk across a short portage and enjoy a day's fishing. Our policy is catch & release only fishing on these portage lakes.
